Howto: Juniper SSL VPN in Ubuntu.

In Ubuntu 9.04 I had no problems at all with Juniper SSL it self, worked out-of-the-box. But since the last Juniper software update they "looked" access from non Windows clients for VPN connections.

For older versions of Ubuntu ( 8.10 - 6.10 ) please read on.

This is not an understatement at all, Ubuntu is really a wonderful project that (according to me) brings Linux to the next level. With every new version it takes a step closer to perfection.

“Out of the box” I don’t see any major problem with it for normal user use, but there are off curse some special needs that aren’t fulfilled and some hardware that needs some “hands on” configuration to work properly. I’m going to post things on this site that I have had difficulties with and how to solve them.

Most “howto” apply on most Ubuntu versions (even some other Linux distribution). These tweaks have worked for me, but its no guarantee that it will for you, so it’s on your own risk.
